We try to make the Stamperland Church Spring Fair a great fun day for everyone in our local community.  The church, the halls and ground are open to allow everyone to participate.  There is no admission fee - entry is free all day long.

There is a mixture of stalls, games, quizes  and activities.  There is a tearoom serving  wide variety of food including home baking and filled rolls.  We try to have an outdoor barbeque serving burgers freshly grilled over white hot charcoal.  Activities include face painting, coconut shy, old-fashioned children's games.  There are quizzes, puzzles, opportunities to guess  the weight of a cake or the birthday of a cuddly toy.  Adults can show their knowledge by entering prize quizzes.  There is a silent auction.  Stalls include home baking, book, record, CD and DVD as well as the ever popular bric-a-brac stall where antiques or valuable items may be discovered.  There is a bottle stall, so popular that it is usually completely empty within an hour of the Fair opening and plant stall offering a wide variety of plants, seedlings and garden produce.  We are entertained musically by our own Stamperland Pipe Band and buskers.

We are fortunate in attracting sponsorship from local businesses.

Our 2015 Spring Fair took place on Saturday 9th May.    Click to see the programme.

Thanks to everyone who supported the event we raised over £2,700 for church funds.  We are also very grateful to local shops and businesses who support us.  The names of our business sponsors are listed on the programme.

Our 2014 Flyer for the Spring Fair is shown below.

In 2011 our theme was "The Stamperland Stampede".   You can see some of the things we got up to by clicking

For our 2011 Spring Fair we were fortunate with the weather and had people streaming through the doors.  Amongst those who visited were four "cowboys", wild-west enthusiasts from the Grand Ole Oprey, who wandered around giving a real air of authenticity to our "Stampede" theme and even acted a quick-draw shoot-out.   By the end of the day we had raised just over £3,300 - an excellent financial outcome!
